The main advantage of this grip is obviously better purchase on the body if you have bigger hands, or are using bigger high quality lenses,to help balance out the camera, ability to comfortably use the camera in portrait orientation, and of course have incredible battery duration for a shoot. The grip feels high quality with plenty of duplicate buttons from the main body. The only downside is of course, losing the small compact nature of the Sony Alpha bodies and increased weight.

Estoy contento con el producto, aunque esperaba un rendimiento mayor. Lo uso en bodas con baterías originales y dura desde los preparativos de la pareja hasta el banquete. Creí que al llevar dos baterías, la durabilidad Iba a ser mayor, pero no ha sido así. No obstante, es un buen producto y no pesa tanto, cosa que se agradece.

Funciona perfectamente, pero para mí su precio es demasiado alto por sus funciones.

I bought this mainly for the extra battery power which is excellent, and the ease of taking photos in portrait position. Only downside is that it adds extra weight.

Se solucionan los problemas de agarre de la cámara, aunque también hay que decir que con el agarre vertical la A7RIII se parece más por tamaño a una réflex que a una máquina sin espejo. Aporta versatilidad al trabajo y permite sesiones de trabajo largas sin preocuparte de las baterías.

Nice grip to get a bit better grip on the camera, but I wish it was more like the a77ii/a99ii grip. I miss a few buttons every once in a while

Me lo esperaba un poco pesado pero fue todo lo contrario. Le da un buen balance a la cámara.

Vengo de una Canon 1Ds Mk III, un cuerpo de mas de 1 kilo, con el grip incorporado. Por autonomía y en especial ergonomía a la hora de disparar en vertical, creo que el grip es imprescindible en toda cámara. El Sony es liviano y no se lo ve tan sólido como el incorporado de una Canon serie 1 (O una Nikon D4 o D5), pero es MUY cómodo y no ha fallado en el tiempo que llevo usándolo. Puesto desde el día cero en mi A7III, de nuevo, lo considero imprescindible para retratos, o por la autonomía duplicada si hacés paisajes en exteriores.

I bought this vertical grip to have more battery life. After a few sessions, the camera started malfunctioning and having problems recording the images. I never expected that the origin of the problem was going to be the grip. Fortunately, after going to an elimination process, I found out that the grip was the origin of the issue. Took it off and used a single battery in the camera and now the camera is working fine, not a hitch. Now I'm trying to get it fixed with Sony Support and the whole experience turned out to be a nightmare. Very disappointed. I regret switching to Sony from Nikon.

Excelente ergonomía, mejora mucho el agarre de la cámara, muy robusto y además permite aumentar la disponibilidad de energía al poder portar dos baterías A mi me resulta muy útil. Lo recomiendo

Tengo 25 años de experiencia profesional y antes de comprar Sony estaba muy acostumbrado a equipos pesados como la Canon 1D, que el voluminosa, ideal para manos grandes como las mías. Lo que realmente me preocupaba de la línea Mirrorless de Sony era su tamaño pequeño. Así que opte por este suplemento, no por la posibilidad de sumar otra batería sino para ampliar el volumen de sujeción del cuerpo y agregar el obturador vertical.

I love the extended grip. It feels great in the hand. You have to admit, the a7-III is a small camera, but the grip makes you look like a pro with a huge camera! (That's just a vanity perk!) Seriously, people do tend to take you more seriously seeing that you have a professional looking setup. But it's not just perception. The extra buttons for portrait shots are great for people who aren't contortionists. Also, the added benefit of never running out of battery life is great. I leave my camera on as I walk down streets or trails, or am sitting with friends. The camera is always ready to go. I took the camera on a 1 week long trip with the 2 batteries in the grip and one spare. I never once hooked the camera to a charger and I took tons of pictures. However, since I was rarely around electricity for the trip, I would turn the camera off when I knew it wouldn't be in use. The only problem I have with the grip is that I can't use my LA-EA4 a-mount adapter with the grip installed.

Un accesorio de gran ayuda, aumenta la batería para mas fotos y videos, además para fotos en vertical con la empuñadura facilita la distribución del peso con un lente como el FE 85mm GM para cuando colocas la cámara en esa postura.

I bought this grip to aid me when photographing at events like music gigs and festivals. It fits snugly onto the A7RIII body and adds stability while the two battery capacity gives me all the power l need for most shoots. The grip fits well in my hands - I always find l need an extra grip such as a base plate or half case with the A7 series anyway. Moving from landscape to portrait is easy once you get it into your head that arm contortions are no longer needed. This grip does the job well and l am glad to have bought it.

Adquirí producto, especialmente para incrementar volumen del cuerpo al momento de realizar tomas fotográficas; como tengo.manos grandes, en.mi caso obtengo mejor volumen.del.cuerpo para manipular cámara; al realizar tomas en vertical, el botón disparador adicional en.el grip, es lo que mas valoro. Batería adicional que hace que te despreocupes de la autonomia energética. Tal vez, atención, con la operación del gancho de bloqueo compartimiento baterías, que es algo poco robusto. Tengo grips de otras marcas de cámara y realidad tampoco son.tan robustos.

Hace años que cada camara (Canon) que compro le pongo el battery grip. Usar la camara con un lente de 600 milimetros o un zoom de 150-600 Sigma Sport requiere una camara con buen agarre, y que pueda hacer buena palanca para accionar un mecanismo de zoom pesado. Ademas, la bateria extra realmente es necesaria. Y cuando estas en medio del bosque o selva (fotografia de naturaleza), y tenes solo unos segundos para sacarles algunas pocas fotos a un ave que luego se vuela y no la veras mas, no podes pensar en justo ponerte a cambiar la bateria. Para largas caminatas, con muchas fotos, es imprescindible. Por otro lado, en la a7R III el tener el grip arreglo el problema del dedo chiquito, es mucho mas comodo (si bien no es perfecto). Y ademas te da los controles para disparar en vertical. Son todas ventajas, excepto por el peso. En el caso del grip de Sony, se lo ve bastante bien construido, estoy conforme con la compra. No es perfecto, ya que podria ser un poco mas fuerte, sobre todo el mecanismo de cierre... y entre el grip y la camara queda una luz, que luego de horas de uso tambien puede incomodar al dedo chiquito. Entiendo que un grip alternativo podria andar tambien, pero supuestamente el de Sony es mas fuerte y duradero, cosa que vere cuando pase el tiempo. Por ahora, estoy disfrutando de tenerlo. Los botones andan muy bien, hizo el agarre de la camara mas comodo y puedo tanto usar los controles extra para vertical como aprovechar el tener dos baterias. Haberlo pagado al mismo precio de USA en moneda local me decidio. Muy recomendable como accesorio.

Been using a Sony a99 until trading up to the a7riii. I have big hands, so I ordered the vertical grip with the camera, as the camera along just feels too small. Add the grip, and it's balanced perfectly. and of course, the benefits of the grips controls become obvious when using portrait as opposed to landscape. Superb addition to a superb camera.

I bought this at the same time as my a9 as without it the camera felt a little too small in my hands. Coming from a D850 I was used to the chunkier grip of the Nikon, but with the grip my a9 feels perfect and a lot lighter than my previous gear. The extended battery life is great and switching to vertical shooting with a 200-600 G lens attached is smooth. Buttons fall right to hand and the custom buttons function flawlessly. The addition of a lock on the vertical shutter release is a neat idea as it prevents unwanted shots being fire off if the button gets bumped. A card soon gets filled at 20 fps!!!
